Building and running PPC campaigns for small clients was an interesting school. I had to find smart solutions to meet client budgets and invest the money reasonably — so the strategy and the execution had to be genuinely creative. Every cent had to justify itself, and every campaign was a tight loop between targeting, creative, and conversion. It built the performance marketing fundamentals every role since has leaned on.
